Electricity meter readings - online portal

Residents can access detailed electricity usage data and download usage statistics for their apartment through the Energy Controls online portal:

  1. First you need to register for on-line access and obtain log-in details by emailing Simon Wilson at Energy Controls. He will confirm with Clever Energy that you are the account holder.

  2. Once you have your log-in details please follow the instructions in the Energy Controls on-line portal user manual.

  3. Regularly login to download/check your meter readings.

The portal enables you to view daily and hourly consumption and download data in Excel spreadsheet form. Rate 1 details consumption between 07:30am-00:29am and Rate 2 00:30am - 07:29am. [Please note the Rate 1 and Rate 2 readings do not correspond to the old R1 and R4 readings used in previous bills].

Analysing your data - beta spreadsheet

One of our residents has developed an Excel spreadsheet that can help (Excel-savvy) residents review their electricity usage.

Please note that the online data will only be available from the date on which your new smart meter was installed and is not held indefinitely - please remember to download your data annually.

Gaps in readings: Please note sometimes the meter fails to transmit data back as regularly as it should. When analysing daily data please check that what seems to be an impossibly high reading for one day is not in fact the reading for a period of 2+ days. Divide the number by the number of days the reading covers in order to come to the daily average for the period.

Location of the meter

The electricity meter(s), electrical distribution board and circuit breakers can be found in a metal cabinet usually located in a hall cupboard.
